the North sea and the Kattegat

A moment on the last blog.  We did not actually stay in a "basic" forest camp site; would have done if one had come into sight near the end of a day's distance, but this did not happen.

Near Skagen, we stayed in a camp sire of the more developed variety for two nights.  This saved putting the tent up twice and dlowing up air matresses twice.  The town is a nice place, with a good art gallery, an artist colony, lots of people in a large harbour, and last night a meal in a pub/resaurant where the Danish bonhomie was all around us.  But the big thing was the walk to the tip of Denmark, called Grenen.  Here the North sea meets the Kattegat, which runs down into the Baltic sea.  There is a strong tidal current and when we went, to the end of a sandy spit, waves from each sea were running against each other in opposite directions and it was quite dramatic.  Our photos do not show it fully but here are some:-
