We have been short of that in Scandinavia.  Have just got back from an evening here in Lerwick, where whisky is noticeably cheaper than beer (well, not by volume, but you will see what I mean).  The group were mixed local and Norwegian, and there was a Norwegian ccordioniste who is really good.  Some Scottish traditional, but also other folk themes/genres, and quite a bit of what seemed to be improvisation.  A good evening.  Beer, MrEwens export, whisky, grouse; could be better but OK
