lack of humour

Well, just pasted the last bit from Holland.  Now in Emden in Germany.  We crossed the border on a rickety bridge yesterday evening and cyced another 12km to a campingplatz.  Now aftern0oon of the next day and the wind has been against most of the day, coming to Emden.  Which is on the river Ems, incidentally.

Katherine remarks we have not enough humour in this account  Maybe it is us.  Maybe it is the wind.  Grimly pushing on against it could be considered extremely funny, but really only if someone else is doing the pushoing.  Does this mean an outbreak of humour if the wind changes?  I am not sure!  Actually the wind may hear of this and do something awful like the time at the mad hatter's tea party.  In that case, time just stopped.  At tea time.   Ah....

No nearer to that wonderful entry that makes you plit your sides, and indeed yesterday the wind was not against.  That was the last bit of Holland and we we cycling across immense polders that went on and on and the wind was kind and it was really wonderful.

Thats it for now

Tom
