Now in Scotland

The final downhill ride in Bergen was to the airport bus, which did the next uphill for us and also went through long tunnels cut through the mountains. We and the bikes arrived in Aberdeen safely. We have spent a couple of days relaxing iwht friends and doing nothing more strenuous than watching salmon trying to leap up waterfalls and walking up a hill. I felt sorry for the salmon. It looked awfully hard to get up that waterfall and I bet there were nore to come. Their journey was entirely uphill and against the current. Today we take the overnight ferry to the Shetlands, which are noted for wind and rain, beautiful countryside and ancient sites.
