Now in ferry terminal

We hoped when we booked the night ferry that we could go on board early and get to bed.  But it does not arrive from the other end until 12.05, leaving with us (we hope) at 01.00.  Arrives the other end at 06.15, so not much sleep but some.

The last two days in Denmark, we put in considerable distances, about 95km each day.  These days have been characterised by actually having to go up hills (and fortunately down the other side) and by being mainly away from the sea.  After the camp site near Skagen, we went first to Frederikshaven and in the same day to a place called Saeby (name reminds of Selby in Yorkshire, but presumably a co-incidence).  Frederikshaven had a bike shop, tyres are getting worn and need replacement, and a museum with an excavated early medieval boat that resembles a Viking boat and was quite impressive.  In Saeby, after some search we ended up in Helle's B&B which we recommend, and had an excellent meal in a fish restaurant.  But I do not want to give the impression that this trip is all eating; most of it is pedalling!  Saeby church has impressive medieval frescoes on the vaulted ceiling, an interesting and old altar piece and other ancient things.  Might manage some photos later.  It was after Saeby that we started to put in greater distances, in the first day because there was simply no accommodation for the last 30km, and in the second day becuase we wanted to get to Grenaa for the Monday ferry.  Now we are here.  Sweden is tomorrow morning.
